This is truly what makes me proud of being from Indiana. Richard Valens, of Muncie, gave his 1 year old son beer. According to the Chicago Tribune, when his girlfriend complained and objected he punched her in the face and said the child could "handle it" because "he's a champ." Then he drove away in her car but not before threatening that he would kill her when he returned. He is currently being held under $17,500 bond. Here's how I imagine the conversation went down.
